It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Gauthier of Broussard, Louisiana, who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Gauthier; her parents, Clem Guidry and Leola Perrio Guidry; her sister-in-law Ettaline "Cat" Guidry; her siblings, Louis Guidry, Howard Guidry, Lydia Riche and Ledie Wyble Marks; and her nephews, Roy Gauthier and Clem Gauthier.
She is survived by: her sisters, Laura G. Smith and Alice Hicks; her grandchild Karlee Roy (Joseph Roy); and her great grandchildren, Hunter Roy, Andre'Roy, Victoria Roy, Leo, Beau, Regina, Brooks, Chanleigh-Rae, Bailey Jane, Scarlett and Beckett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570).
Her life will be lovingly remembered, and her contributions to her family will forever remain in their hearts.
