She was predeceased by: her parents, Antoine Doris James, Sr. and Jessie Mae Benjamin James; and her sister Beverly Ann Wiltz. She is survived by: her daughter Chancelly Smith (Gary); her grandsons, Jordan James of Dallas, Texas and Gary Smith, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; and her siblings, Menda Batiste (Steven) of St. Martinville, LA and Antoine James (Valerie) of Maurice, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
