He was predeceased by: his significant other Carolyn "Caro" Bulliard Bienvenu; his son Jason Bulliard Bienvenu; his daughters-in-law, Earline Laviolette Bienvenu (Peter Paul) and Lana Pritchard Bienvenu (Jimbo); his siblings, Estelle Bienvenu Labbé and J. C. Bienvenu; his parents, Lee Bienvenu and Agatha Barras Bienvenu; and his in-laws, Mayor Leo Bulliard and Louise Dryer Bulliard.

He is survived by: his sister Sonja Bienvenu Dupois; his children, Roberta Bienvenu, Raymond Bienvenu Jr. (Candy), Jimbo Bienvenu (Kim), Lin Boudreaux (Kirk), Alicia Bienvenu (Irving), Peter Paul Bienvenu, Douglas Bienvenu (Jeanie) and Michelle Russo (Lee); and his daughter-in-law Tammy Laviolette Bienvenu Theriot (Jason). He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
