She was predeceased by: her former husband Curris Boutte; her parents, Harold Duplantis and Helen Rist Duplantis; her siblings, Sonny Duplantis and Alieen "Jo" Broussard; her stepgrandson Bailen Walsh; and her brother-in-law Ed Buford.
She is survived by: her husband Herman "Butch" Leger; her children, Chip Boutte (Gwen) and Dusti; her stepchildren, Rachelle Candler (Mike) and Kevin Leger (Amy); her grandchildren, Brittney Gonzalez (John), Colby Boutte (Brittney), Kailey Boutte, Moritz, Maci Farmer (Thomas), Michael, Matthew and Molly; her stepgrandchildren, Dainta "D. J." Heard, Cayman Candler and Cristian Leger; her great grandchildren, Ethan Gonzalez, Elijah, Evelyn Boutte, Freda, Helen and Frances Farmer; and her siblings, Janet Buford, Vicki Holleman (Tommy), Warren "Tookie" Duplantis (Janice), Nolan "Noonie" Duplantis (Dobie), Jerry Lee Duplantis (Debbie), Larry Duplantis (Nancy) and Carroll Duplantis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wilbert Funeral Home (24120 Railroad Ave, Plaquemine, LA 70764). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
