We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2023, at the age of 89, Charles Eugene Britton of Bunkie, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Bettye Joyce Tate Britton; his parents, Minnie Belle Fuller Britton and William Arthur Britton; his brother James Fredrick Britton; and his grandchild Page Krauss.

He is survived by : his children, Leah Elizabeth Britton Krauss (Mark), Jeb Stuart Britton (LouAnn), William Brian Britton (Kreisha) and Jane Anne Britton Wilkinson (Joseph); his grandchildren, Hannah Britton (Luke), William Britton, Andrew Britton, Sophia Britton, Grace Britton, Jordan Richards, Zachariah Richards, Michael Krauss, Stephanie Thies and Anna Thies; and his great grandchildren, Emmet Mobley, Olive Young, Eliza Elliott and Emily Hare.

During his time at McNeese State College, he made significant contributions to the McNeese football team.
