She was predeceased by: her daughter Roxann Fontenot Lachney; her parents, Lennie Descant and John B. Descant; and her siblings, JoAnn Fontanille, John Descant, Jr., Mary Lee Ortego and Jerry Descant.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Yeager-Prokop (Mike) of Denham Springs, Peggy Fontenot of Denham Springs, Karen F. Manuel of Bunkie and James Fontenot (Lynn) of Bunkie; her sisters, Dorothy Aymond of Hessmer, Betty Lowery of Marksville and Patricia Guillot of Plaucheville; and her grandchildren, Cory Manuel, Chad Yeager, Tyler Fontenot, Anna Whitmore, Haas Wolff, Lucas Lachney and Amanda Fontenot. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
