He was predeceased by : his parents, Haas Whittington and Betty Ducote Whittington. He is survived by : his wife Lynda Whittington of Bunkie; his stepsons, Kaci Reeves of Monroe, Todd Whittington (Kaitlyn) of Monroe, Bliss Fontenot of Bunkie and William Stone (Adrienne) of Smackover, AR; his siblings, Marilynn Fontenot (Randall) of Bunkie, Wayne Whittington (Jean) of Ponca City, OK and Clay Whittington (Maria) of Bunkie; and his grandchildren, Jack, Peyton, Marley, Ellie Kait, Shyanne, Trevor, William, Jr., Ethan, Trent and Ana.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hessmer Baptist Church (2927 Main St, Hessmer, LA 71341). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
