It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Lee Lewis of Cade, Louisiana, who passed away on September 3, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Lewis; her parents, Lemel Lee, Sr. and Florence Jones Lee; and her grandson Karsyn Lewis. She is survived by: her daughters, Kechia Lee of Saint Martinville, LA, Meltaine Lewis of Saint Martinville, LA and Lillian Lewis of Saint Martinville, LA; her siblings, Lemel Lee, Jr. (Linda) of Cade, LA, Henry Paul Lee (Franreka) of Cade, LA, Joseph Lee of Cade, LA, Karen Bias (Conrad) of New Orleans, LA and Theresa Lee Cormier (Edward) of Lafayette, LA; and her grandchildren, Remayah Ledet of Saint Martinville, LA, Redaya Ledet of Saint Martinville, LA and Konnor Wiltz of Saint Martinville, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the church 8:00 A. M. until 10:45 A. M. with a rosary to be prayed at 9:30 A. M. All attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing at the church and cemetery in adherence to the CDC/local regulations.
