It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Weba Jean Moody of Cadeville, Louisiana, born in Springhill, Louisiana, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Dewitt Moody; her parents, Lovid Busby Smith and Ruthie Mae McDonald Smith; her siblings, Mattie Mae Smith, Ruth Willien Smith, Alvis Y'Vone DeMoss, Nelwyn LaVerne Telano, Elizabeth Ann Smith, Verdie Lee Burgess, Abner Lavelle Smith and Bobby Neal Smith; her grandsons, Shiloh Foster and Richy Moody; and her great grandchild Gerald Dewitt Moody IV.
She is survived by: her brothers, Harvey Smith and J. D. Smith; and her children, Gerald Dewitt Moody Jr. "Jerry" (Ebbie), Mike Moody, Steve Moody (Renee), Ricky Moody (My) and Becci Sessoms (David). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
