He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Burton and Alma Burton; and his siblings, NJ Burton, Helen Timothy and Coreena Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Burton; and his siblings-in-law, John Timothy, Reta Gilbert (Bobby), Joyce Puckett, Ann Hogan, Shirley Gauthier and Bobbie Fretwell (Ronnie).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (2981 US-80, Calhoun, LA 71225). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calhoun First Baptist Church (115 Liberty Church Rd, Calhoun, LA 71225).
