It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melinda Ruth Garrett of Calvin, Louisiana, born in Winnfield, Louisiana, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel Lowe and Ruth Carpenter Lowe (Dwaine Garrett); her daughter Paige Garrett LaCroix; and her siblings, Milam Lowe and Martha Lowe Killian.
She is survived by: her son Cole (Jalenna); her grandchildren, Jett, River and Sadie Paige Garrett; and her sister Mary Lowe Wood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and great – great nieces, and nephews.
