He is survived by: his former wife Amie Crouch; his daughter Caitlin Leigh Ann Shadow; his grandchildren, Luke and Kallie of Cypress, Texas.; his children, Lily, Declan and Brylee; his wife Rachel Shadow; his stepchildren, Keuna Antoine of Cincinnati, Samantha Williams of Kirbyville, Texas., Joshua Newton of Kirbyville, Texas. and Ruthann Newton of Kirbyville, Texas.; his sister Sharon Pintsch (Keith); his children, Amber (James Shadow, Jr.) of Kerrville, Texas, James III of Jena, Louisiana., Cody, Gracie, Faith, Hunter and Steven Shadow (Mindy); his grandchildren, Aaron and Delaney; and his former wife Amie Robertson of Jena. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home (11886 US-84, Jena, LA 71342). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
