With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alba Rice of Carencro, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 53. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Francis Julia White; and her great grandchild Emmy Rose Welch-Rice. She is survived by: her fiancé Chase Wilson; her children, Chaz Arias (Jordan), Zachary Rice (Victoria) and Gabrielle Rice; her grandchildren, Hayden Andrus, Carson Rice, Rylynn Carpenter, Rowyn Rice, Hudson Rice, Rhett Carpenter, Lawson Rice, Beckham Arias, Lucy Arias, Corinne Rice and Landon Stelly; and her brothers, Aaron "Peanut" Arias and James Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
