She was predeceased by: her close friend Troy Gaspard; the father of her child Jimmy Thibodeaux; her parents, Ronald Benoit and Melba Patin; her grandparents, Nola Boudreaux, Willie Patin, Fernand Benoit and Loida Benoit; and her siblings, Blane Sonnier and Cindy Fruge.
She is survived by: her son Steven Thibodeaux; her stepchildren, Melisha Angerer and Joellis Thibodeaux; her grandson James Lee; her siblings, Randall Richard, Wayne Richard, Terry Benoit, Charles Aucoin, Randy Walker, Tonya Tate and Vicki Walker; her uncle Ray Patin; and her close friends, Angela Benson and Blaine Gaspard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
