He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Essay Guilbeau and Doris Simon; his brothers, Charles E. Simon and Irwin Hux; and his sister-in-law Cheryl G. Bourgeois.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Guilbeau of Carencro; his daughter Rachel Berard (Coby) of Carencro; his godson David "Pid" Smith (Gisselle); his brother Gene Guilbeaux; his nephew Chad Legnon of New Orleans; his sister Evelyn Smith (Darrell) of Sunset; his godchildren, Candice Courville and Noah Harris; Javier, Isabelle and Gabriela of Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
