He is survived by: his wife Charlene Guilbeau of Carencro; his daughter Rachel Berard (Coby) of Carencro; his godson David "Pid" Smith (Gisselle); his brother Gene Guilbeaux; his nephew Chad Legnon of New Orleans; his sister Evelyn Smith (Darrell); his siblings' children, Darrell Smith, II, Scott Smith of Sunset, Zachary Bourgeois and Kaitlin Burks; his godchildren, Candice Courville and Noah Harris; Javier, Isabelle and Gabriela of Texas.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
