She was predeceased by: her parents, Havard Andrus and Ollie Andrus; and her sisters, Jeannie Hollahan and Gayle Cocke. She is survived by: her husband Richard Higginbotham of Mire; her daughters, Heidi Schmaltz (Chuck) of Mire and Jamie Hermann (Bob) of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Madison Quebedeaux, Kaleb Cormier, Gabe Schmaltz and John Hermann; and her great grandchild Johnnie Mae Quebedeaux.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (6110 Mire Hwy, Church Point, LA 70525).
