He is survived by: his wife Daryl Himel of Carencro; his sons, Craig Himel (Julie) of Sunset, Carey Scott Himel (George Cruz) of Dallas, TX and Cory Himel (Kim) of Harahan; and his grandchildren, Hannah Himel, Natalie Himel, Samantha Himel and Gabriel Himel.
A rosary was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (610 Rain Tree Trail, Lafayette, LA 70507). A Mass was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
