He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Fayard and Annie Mustachia; his siblings, Albert, Milton and Anna May Mohr; and his stepsons, Martin and Gregory Delahoussaye.

He is survived by: his wife Cecile; his sister Tana; and his stepchildren, Cindy, Brian Poirot, Albert, Suzanne Delahoussaye, Danny, Shawn Delahoussaye, Don, Kim Delahoussaye and Richard Delahoussaye (Kim). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana, honoring the remarkable care and support they provide to families in need.
