He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Cormier and Theresa Cormier; his sisters, Geraldine Miller and Rosa Nell Hollier (Linez); and his parents-in-law, Loomis and Mabel Dugas.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cormier; his children, Lane Cormier (Louella), Tiffany Bearb (Jamey) and Anmarie Cormier; his grandchildren, Cody, Brock, Karlie, Brennon and Paityn; his sister Brenda Trosclair (Thomas); and his sisters-in-law, Romania Hebert (Larry) and Phyllis Dupuis (Jeff). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, July 30th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 29th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (1110 Old Spanish Trail, Scott, LA 70583).
