He is survived by: his children, Joseph Eugene Guidry, Jr. (Shanel), Leonard John Guidry (Yesenia), Briston Guidry, Heather Tibbits (Damon, Sr.), Kim Montgomery, Kenyatta Shanks and Brittany Guidry; his siblings, Larry James Guidry, Ella Jane Broussard (Larry), Wanda Guidry-Melancon, Brenda Guidry and Loretta Guidry; his godchildren, Martin Guidry and Sheryl Boxie; and his close friends, Patsy Briggs and Brian Charles (Shantrelle). He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
