She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Bonds-Shropshire and Herman Shropshire; and her siblings, Caszine Shropshire, Eunice Lee "Pat" Williams, Lonnie Shropshire, Sr., John Henry Shropshire and Carl Shropshire.
She is survived by: her daughter Tanya Charles-Brown of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Chelsea Charles-McClure (Scotty), Cody Brown and Carson Brown; and her siblings, Artmease Williams of Gloster, MS, Bernice "Bunny" Brown of San Diego, CA, Bessie (Stafford), Thompson of Enterprise, AL and Clinton Shropshire (Mary) of Gonzales, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
