She was predeceased by: her father Donald Joseph; and her husband James "Jim" Chauvin. She is survived by: her mother Verna Davis Barrilleaux; her sons, Donald James Chauvin (Harriet) of Carencro and Kenneth Gerald Chauvin of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Benjamin, Sadie, Nicolas and Austin.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home Chapel (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Franklin Cemetery (1202 Main St, Franklin, LA 70538).
