He was predeceased by: his wife Generay "Jan" Lail; his parents, Ambrose Carl Lail and Euzelia Blanton; and his siblings, Ralph Lail, Carlos Lail, Dale Lail, Kenneth Lail, Ambrose Carl, Jr., Ava Lou Lee and Betty Hoyle.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Lail (Patty) of Carencro, Tommy Lail (Jeannie) of Waco, NC, Tammy Lail of Youngsville, Rhonda Shelton of Shelby, NC, Kenneth Lail (Heather) of Church Point and Becky Causby (Alan) of Casar, NC; his stepdaughter Nancy Anderson (Tim) of Hickory, NC; and his brother Eugene Lail (Joann) of Maurice. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
