She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Istre and Lorraine Duhon Istre; and her sisters, Arlene Rushing and Linda Istre. She is survived by: her husband Charles Ashton Babineaux; her children, Michael Babineaux (Michelle), Brett Babineaux (Jennifer) and Karen Babineaux; her grandchildren, Tyler Babineaux, Britny Ryland (Devin), Joshua Babineaux, Elyssa Babineaux, Evan Babineaux, Ashlee Meyerholtz, Trevor Meyerholtz, Emma Babineaux, Anna Babineaux and Amelia Babineaux; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Lopez, Charles Ryland and Luna Ryland; and her sister Judy Judice (Victor).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
