He is survived by: his children, Lloyd "Damien" Bernard (Tracie) of Lafayette, Tawanna Lemelle and Jennifer Bernard (Ronald Reynolds) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Sianni Reynolds, Jasiah Lewis, Mekhi Bernard, Sa'Miah Woods, Damien Bernard, D'Myjay Bernard, Serenity Bernard, Sarai Bernard of Lloyd, Bernard, Loyal Bernard, Legend Bernard, Sienna Bernard and Sevyn Bernard; his great grandchildren, Hezekial Thomas, Ayden Bernard and Amir Bernard; and his sisters, Carol Bernard of Carencro, Rita Decloet of Carencro, Theresa Bernard, Brenda Mouton (Melvin) of Youngsville and Barbara Duhon (Ronald) of Lafayette.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
