She is survived by: her husband Ray Venable of Cankton; her children, Richard Venable (Rebecca) of Maurice, Wayne Venable (Wendy) of Sunset, Kristine Broussard (Lane) of Church Point and Kathryn Broussard (James) of Church Point; her grandchildren, Tricia Bergeron (Francis "Brud") of Church Point, Joshua Broussard (Kayla) of Sacramento, CA, Kourtney Stonicher (Michael) of Church Point, Grace Venable of Breaux Bridge, Joseph Venable of Sunset, Mason Venable of Sunset and Ethan Venable of Sunset; her great grandchildren, Baylee Bergeron of Church Point, Brooke Bergeron of Church Point, Briana Bergeron of Church Point, Jackson Stonicher of Church Point and Olivia Stonicher of Church Point; and her siblings, Wesley Turner (Helen), Dallas Turner, Lester Turner (Kim) and Helen Simon of Lafayette.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church (552 Main St, Cankton, LA 70584).
