She was predeceased by: her parents, Theresa Gallien and Ernest LeBlanc; her husband Horace Charles; her brother Milton Harris; and her grandparents, Charles Gallien and Theresa Gallien.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Paul (Alan) of Carencro, LA, Donald Charles of Carencro, LA, Joseph Charles (Karen) of Lafayette, LA, Horace Charles of Carencro, LA, Catalina Batiste (Oliver) of Carencro, LA, Carol Fitzpatrick (Carlos) of Baton Rouge, LA, Ron Charles (Arris) of Colorado, Daniel Charles (Natalia) of Kemah, TX, Milton Charles (Kimberly) of Missouri City, TX, Miranda Charles of Lafayette, LA and Bryan Charles (Tammy) of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (410 N Michaud St, Carencro, LA 70520).
