He was predeceased by: his daughter Erin Michelle Venable; and his parents, Leopold Venable and Rosalie Lyons. He is survived by: his wife Sonia Delhomme Venable of Carencro; his sons, Brian Venable (Meghan) of Carencro and Chris Venable (Phoebe "Poulet") of Church Point; his grandchildren, Kate Venable, Caroline Venable, Michael Venable, Keedyn Ragusa and Kruz Ragusa; his siblings, Randy Venable (Kathy) of Lafayette, Rene Venable (Angela) of Lafayette, Paulette Venable of Church Point and Ann Venable of Lafayette; and his godchildren, Sarah Benoit and Nick Latiolais.
