He was predeceased by: his wife Erline M. Prejean; his parents, John M. Latour and Elita Clavelle Latour; and his siblings, John L. (Latour), Leroy Latour, Frederick Latour, Paul Latour, Shirley Latour, Annabelle Broussard, Rose Trahan, Irene Patin, Felicianne Sonnier and Heloise Lajaunie.
He is survived by: his children, Cedric Latour (Nancy) of Friendswood, TX, David Latour (Arlene) of Carencro, Stephen Latour (Kerri) of Lafayette and Cynthia Tracy of Youngsville; and his grandchildren, Christopher Lierman, Matthew Lierman, Jonathan Lierman, Michael Tracy, Emily Latour Ramsey, Sidney Paul Latour, Allen Latour, Jacob Starks, Justin Starks, Noah Latour, McKenna Ebeling and Averi Latour. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 14th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Friday, August 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 14th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
