It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Author Stevens of Chalmette, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer A. Stevens and Helen Leavell; his brother Frank A. Stevens; his son Kenny A. Stevens; his mother-in-law Leola Munn; and his close friends, Louie Galiano and George Rouse.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Munn Stevens; his children, Claude A. Stevens, Jr. (Pam), Elmer A. Stevens (Erin) and Cristin L. Stevens; his siblings, Kenny Stevens and Mary Anne Pigrenet; his grandchildren, Robert A. Stevens, Ariana Stevens, Laci Stevens, Elijah Stevens, Bella Stevens, Liam Stevens, Austin Peden, Zach Peden and Phoebe Robin; and his great grandchildren, Addisyn, Damien and Julian.
