With sadness, we share the passing of John Dee Jeffries (Chalmette, Louisiana). John Dee, born on April 2, 1948, passed away on August 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Cosmas "Moe" Jeffries; and his wife Genny. He is survived by: his mother Doris Jeffries; his siblings, Scott Jeffries (Kathy), Glenn Jeffries (Linda), Terry Fielding (Rick) and Kelly Bates (Mark); his children, Sean Jeffries, Sheri Jeffries Bankston and Courtney Jeffries; his grandchildren, Hadley Guillot (Matt), Dylan Fuller, Nathaniel Bankston (Michelle), Emily Bankston, Sadie Fuller and Catherine Bankston; and his great grandchildren, Margaret and Evelyn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (305 E St Bernard Hwy, Chalmette, LA 70043). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
