She was predeceased by: her daughter Kathleen; her parents, Stanley L. Anderson and Yvonne Melancon Anderson; her grandson Daniel Joseph Dowd; and her sister Mary Louise A. Perelli.
She is survived by: her children, Maureen Moity (Dave), Penny Liuzza, George J. Dowd, Jr. (Stephanie), Shawn Dowd, Erin Dowd and Meghan Rodela (Joseph); her grandchildren, Artie, Colleen, Ryan, Kyle, Alex, Micky, Kathryn, Kellen, Jacob, Thomas, Sera and Aubrey; and her siblings, Stanley L. Anderson, Jr. and Sherry A. Chimento. She is also survived by her 19 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church (2320 Paris Rd, Chalmette, LA 70043). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Louis Cemetery No. (3421 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119).
