He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Pauline La Verne Gallagher; and his in-laws, Sidney, Dean (Susan), Brenda and Marty Theriot.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Theriot Schoen; his children, Kenneth Schoen (Elizabeth), Amy DeClouet (Mike) and Lynsay Mazera (Ali); his siblings, Peggy Dicks (Jim), Evelyn Schrems (Paul), Maureen Davenport (Chuck), Robert Schoen, Jr. (Paula) and Michael Schoen (Patricia); his stepdaughters, Sabrina Trosclair (Richard) and Wendy Welch (Jamie); his brothers-in-law, Brent (Jeannie), Craig (Tammy) and Darrel Theriot (Mona); his mother-in-law Lois Theriot; and his pet Maddie. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (5232 LA-56, Chauvin, LA 70344).
