It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Authement of Chauvin, Louisiana, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Trahan Authment; his parents, Elwon Authment Sr. and Brunnella Guy Authment; his brother Kerry Authment; and his parents-in-law, Edward Trahan (Eddie) and Eva Trahan.
He is survived by: his children, Kristi Billiot (Adrian Billiot), Danielle Dupre, Jamie Authement (Dennis) and James Authement (Brittany); his siblings, Elwon "Red" Authment, Todd "Negg" Authment, Sherry Blanchard (Tommy) and Darlene Sevin (Philip); his grandchildren, Kelsey Naquin (Tate), Jenna Billot, Bayleigh Dupre (Zane), Abigail Billiot, Raynee Hendon (Brennon), Zane Dupre (Alaina), James Authment Jr. (JJ), Sunnie Lirette, Bonnie Authment, Kendon Lirette and Braizlee Authment; and his great grandchildren, Kole, Kynlee, Jax, Myles, Avaleigh and Levin. He is also survived by grandpa who thought the world of his children and grand and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Samart Funeral Home of Houma (635 Bayou Blue Rd, Houma, LA 70364). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
