He is survived by: his wife Susan Matheny James; his daughters, Anna James Zeigler (Trey) and Jessica James Griffin (Heath); his grandchildren, Reagan Zeigler, Maisie Griffin, Henry Zeigler and Michael Griffin; and his siblings, Glenn James (Monisa) and Lisa Spikes (Dennis). He is also survived by his wife and daughters and dear friends.
In 2022, Gordon was honored as the 2022 Distinguished Attorney by the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
