She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Holstead and Genie Holstead; her husband Floyd "Sonny" Ellerman; her son Dwayne; and her siblings, Charles Holstead and Bobbie Jean Holtzclaw.

She is survived by: her daughter Jeanne Teague (Gary); her granddaughters, Aubri Nesmith (Chad) and Kori Hannibal (Zach); her great grandchild Cyan Hannibal; and her sister Beth Brewster. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
