She was predeceased by: the father of her children John Anderson McBride, Jr.; her husbands, Joseph Ernest Burleigh and Ivory Folks; her son Benjamin Joseph McBride; her parent Clevan Erita S. Venable; and her brothers, Harold and Nolan Venable.
She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Franklin of Cankton, Martha (Ted James Fontenot) of Church Point, Melissa McBride Matt of Sunset and Byron Joseph McBride of Church Point; her stepdaughter Geraldine (Michael Verret) of Lafayette; and her brother Herbert Venable of Church Point. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-two greatgrandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
