She was predeceased by: her husband Polite Doucet Jr.; her daughter Gloria Jane; her brothers, Milton, Wilbert, Al and Danes Abshire; and her parents, Jeneus Abshire and Alicia Simon Abshire.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael, Russell and Donald. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
