She was predeceased by: her husband Berlin Higginbotham; her parents, Ardus Thibodeaux and Virginia Savoy Thibodeaux; and her son Thomas Higginbotham. She is survived by: her close friend Jimmy Thibodeaux of Church Point; and her children, Christine Beslin (Matthew), Lynette Higginbotham (Dexter Barousse), Raphael "Ray" Higginbotham (Kerry) of Vidrine, LA, Dennis Higginbotham (Jeanette) of Youngsville, LA, Gerard "Jerry" Higginbotham (Carolyn) of Lafayette, LA and Michael Higginbotham (Kristi) of Carlyss, LA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Guidry Funeral Home (219 N Broadway St, Church Point, LA 70525). A rosary was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (114 Bienvenu St, Church Point, LA 70525). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the 6 St Edmund Cemetery (8355 Branch Hwy, Rayne, LA 70578).
