Kurt Richard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kurt Richard (Church Point, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Kurt departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kurt may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kurt leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph B. Richard and Elmire Mary Richard; his son Alex Kurt Richard; his brothers, James Ricky Richard and John Dillard Richard; and his nephews, Kearney Nicholas Richard and Brooks O'Neal Richard.
He is survived by: his sisters, Dedria R. Daigle (Chad) of Lafayette, Leslie R. Barousse (Rusty) of Church Point and Dana Richard of Maurice; his stepson Dylan Lavergne of Swords; his grandson River Alexander Cobb; and the mother of his child Roxanne Comeaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic New Cemetery (2153 Lawtell Hwy, Church Point, LA 70525).
