He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Richard and Celina Richard; his daughter Mary Ann Richard; and his siblings, Elton Richard, Joseph Elvin "Shorty" Richard, Issac Richard, Jr., Loretta Richard and Theresa "Teasie" Cary.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Elkins Richard of Church Point; his children, Rachel Boutin (Leroy) of Church Point and John S. Richard of Lacassine, LA; his grandchildren, Jessica Leonards (Ben) of Crowley, Jacques Boutin (Julie) and Jamie Faul; his great grandchildren, John Luke, Rhett Leonards, Gabe and Charlie Boutin; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ani, Ava and Zorah Raza; his caregivers, Jan, Glenda, Jordin, Leah and Vicky; and his friends, Joey Richard, Marilyn, Fred Noel, Christy, Keith Andrus, Ned Mauldin and Marcelino Lopez.
