She is survived by: her husband Joseph Nolan Monroe of Church Point; her children, Karin Kinchen (Derrick) of Baton Rouge, Terrance Monroe of Church Point and Darrin Monroe of Miami, FL.; her siblings, Lee Etta Handy of Houston, TX, Dr. Louella Riggs-Cook (Joseph Wade Green, Jr.) of Lafayette, Leroy Riggs of Lake Charles and Albert Riggs (Barbara) of Lake Charles; and her grandchildren, Kamrick and Demetria Kinchen.
