She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosalie McDonald and Curlie Duson Bennett; her husband James J. Johnson (J. J.); her siblings, Harry Bennett, George Bennett, James Bennett and Polly Bennett Travis; and her great grandchildren, Lonny Andrew Myles and Matthew J. Myles.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Johnson (Sue), Judy Johnson Myles (Lonny), Jacki Johnson Andrews (Henry) and Paula Johnson Bunch; her grandchildren, Bridget Bunch Tanner (Mark Sigler), Bennett Bunch (Jessica), Jamey Myles, Heidi Myles Stringer (Jeff), Dr. Bevan Myles, Riley Kennedy (Robert Miller II), Jill Kennedy Kindler (Todd), John Preston Kennedy, Mary Kennedy Sims (Daniel), Jaye Marley Bunch (Maria), Will Bunch (Sarah) and Betsy Bunch Arnold (Graham); her great grandchildren, Fields Day, Barrett Day, John Talmadge Day, Tash Bunch, Charles Bunch, Thomas Myles, Julia Stringer, Jillian Stringer Carpenter (Brady), Jacie Stringer, Bobby Miller, Eloise Miller, June Kindler, Lane Kindler, Kit Kindler, Harper Lee Sims, Wailes Sims, Joy Sims, Rosemary Sims, Marley Marie Bunch, Georgianna Bunch, Amelia Bunch, Sadie Bunch, Charli Bunch, Macie Bunch, Graham Arnold, Gray Arnold and George Arnold; her great great grandchild Myles Carpenter; her friend Mark L.
