He is survived by: his sister Dorothy; his wife Mary Taylor; his children, Ronaldlyn Omeida Joaquin, Jarron Cordell (Dana) and Ronald Nicholas Ashton, Sr.; his grandchildren, Rohj, Jaelon, Hadiyah, Ronald Nicholas Ashton, Jr., Jarron, II, Deztiny, Illysha, Jazmine, Noah and Lillian; and his siblings, James (Dorothy), Geraldine and Lawrence. He is also survived by his wife of 54 years, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Bethel Full Gospel Baptist Church (12218 Plank Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70811). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Southern Memorial Gardens (3012 Blount Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807).
