He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Brown and Nina Roddy Chaney; his brothers, Cecil, Kenneth, Clyde and Roy Chaney; and his wife Sarah Phares Chaney.
He is survived by: his children, Bill (Barbara Dunaway) of Shreveport, LA, Nancye Roussel of Destin, FL, Susan Chaney of Clinton, LA and Patrick Chaney (Linda Barrilleaux) of Clinton, LA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Clinton United Methodist Church (11321 Old S Dr, Clinton, LA 70722). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
