He was predeceased by: his parents, U. P. Chelette and Marie Lacour Chelette; and his brother Dowen P. Chelette. He is survived by: his nephews, Andrew Chelette, Matthew Chelette (Brandi), Joseph Allen (Dessie Allen) and Lewis Allen; his niece Danielle Ferrier; his great-nephews, Joseph Allen, Jr., Zachery Chelette and Aiden Chelette; his great-niece Dessie Allen; and his cousin Charles Fletcher. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Iatt Baptist Church (383 Iatt Church Rd, Atlanta, LA 71404). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
