We bid farewell to Herschel Williams (Colfax, Louisiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 28, 2025 at the age of 75. Herschel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Williams, Sr. and Espie Vaughn Williams; and his siblings, Clarence Williams, Dewey Williams, Jr., Hattie Johnson, Gloria Parnell, Elnora Phillips and Pearlie Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Duncan Williams; his children, Marvin L. Williams (Cheryl), Latoria Duncan and Shakita Bynog; his grandchildren, Olivia Williams, Xavier Bowie and Sedarius Bynog; his sisters, Thelma Powell, Rose Valley and Eddie Milner (Arthur); his siblings-in-law, Juanita Johnson, Shirley Duncan, Louise Duncan, Alice Duncan, David Duncan and Robert Stanley, Sr.; his godson Nicholas Powell, Sr.; and his friends, Vernell Jewell and William Hamilton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (1100 Graham St, Colfax, LA 71417). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Farenzie Cemetery (501 Farenzie Rd, Colfax, LA 71417).
