He is survived by: his children, David Brown of Lakeland, Scott Brown of Monroe, Patrick Brown of West Monroe and Laurie Shipman (Jeff) of Searcy, Arkansas; and his grandsons, Landry Shipman (Jessie), Fielding Shipman and Foster Shipman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Riser Funeral Home (7131 US-165, Columbia, LA 71418). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
