She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raleigh Broomfield McMurry and Rita Martino McMurry; her husband A. J. Alger; her sister LaWanda Elliot; her children, Robyn Alger, Ronnie Alger, Jim Alger and Kevin Alger; her siblings, Juanece Johnson (Mike), Glen McMurry (Anita) and Clinton McMurry (Liz); her grandchildren, John Alger (Kristen), Jessica Alger, Dustin May, Karen Steele, Claire Thornton, Will Steele, Audie Alger and Logan Alger; and her great grandchildren, Kayla Alger, Jolene Alger, River May, Lakynn May, Rowan May, Wyatt Steele, Colten Thornton, McKenna Thornton, Riley Musgrave, AJ May and Hudson Harrel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Riser Funeral Home (7131 US-165, Columbia, LA 71418). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
