It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Everette Ray Gorton (Columbia, Louisiana), who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Everette Ray Gorton to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Bertie S. Gorton; his parents, Mable Gorton and Lee Gorton; and his sisters, Clara Evens Owens and Juanita Young.

He is survived by : his daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Nell Gorton of West Monroe, Johnnie Raye Carson (Scott) of West Monroe and Rhonda Deseamus (Marty) of West Monroe; his grandchildren, Martin Deseamus, Doug Deseamus, Britney Brodnax, Cody Russell, Tyler Ford, Hunter Ford, Kali Chase and Ginger Roberts; and his sister Fay G. Bulloch. He is also survived by eleven Great Grandchildren.
